52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks - Week 6 - This week's theme - Social Media

 Week 6

The theme for Week 6 is "Social Media." 

I have connected with cousins through social media that I wouldn't have know otherwise and have reconnected with cousins that I hadn't spoken to for years, not because there was a problem, just because letter writing was not my "thing".  I have also found items in the local paper from when there was a social column, snippets of my grandparents lives as well as my great aunts and uncles.  I've also found items about me when I was little...including a letter to Santa Clause when I was in the first grade...our whole class was published.  I was excited to find that little gem.  I'm sure the newspaper was the main source of information, and gossip, for my ancestors. It's always a little thrill to see your name in the paper.
