52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks - The theme for Week 3 is "Out of Place."

The theme for Week 3 is "Out of Place." Have you ever found an ancestor in an unexpected location? What about finding a record someplace that surprised you? Or what about that one great-great-uncle who moved out West when everyone else in the family stayed put? This is a good week to write about them.

I don't know that I've uncovered any ancestors that weren't where I expected; however, I haven't found one of my families where I expected them to be in 1920...and I still haven't figured out where they might be.  The search goes on.  It's possible that they weren't enumerated because the head of the household, my Great-grandfather distilled whiskey and was a gambler. My grandmother would have been between 1 and 2 years old, but alas...she remains a mystery in that census.  She does appear in 1930, 1940, and 1950.  I hope I can eventually locate this family in 1920.
