52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks - Week 2

 Week 2

The theme for Week 2 is "Favorite Photo." I've had this theme in almost every version of 52 Ancestors because, let's face it, who can choose just one?! Plus, we should be telling the stories of those photos so they don't get lost to time.

I don't know that I have only one favorite photo.  I adore looking at the old pictures of my parents as young children. The pictures of my grandparents and in some cases my great-grandparents.  I even have a couple of photos of my 2x great grandmother Martha M.F. Burchett Cunningham who came to Missouri with her children after her husband, Hezekiah Cunningham died.

The ability to get a glimpse of the past is immeasurable.  What a gift to those of us who are trying to build the stories of those who came before.
