52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks - Week 8 - This week’s Theme is “I Can Identify”

I can Identify can mean a lot of different things to me. The most obvious one relates to my Jones family as I have confidently traced my direct line back to a Lewis P. Jones Sr., but have not been able to positively identify his parents…yet. There is also the Johnson family to consider with the family stories that have been passed down and reconciling the stories with the records. It never ceases to amaze me how I came to be so passionate about this career/hobby when I have struggled to identify my own direct ancestors. I will not give up…one of these days the right record set will be discovered and I will be able to push on. My ultimate goal is to identify the immigrant ancestor for each of my four grandparents and hopefully some of the auxiliary branches as well.

Until next time…

Happy Hunting
