52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks – Week 23 – This Week’s Theme is “So Many Descendants”

Who in my tree has “a gajillion descendants”?  We don’t have to look very far.  My paternal grandmother, Mary Edna Johnson Jones Zion, was one of 13 children, 12 of whom lived to be adults.  All 12 married and had children of their own. When her mother, Barbara Jane Cunningham Johnson, died in May of 1974 she was the proud Grandmother of 126 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.  That’s a lot of descendants! And that number has only increased over time. I was one of the 126 in 1973 and now I have children and grandchildren of my own.

Until Next Time.

Happy Hunting!
